As usual, Dr. Popal was very popular with teacher trainees! The sign in the background says, "We'll miss you, Dr. Popal!" Unfortunately, my camera could not capture it properly, but I believe the sentiment is genuine!

Dr. Popal with our int'l TESOL students...
As usual, Dr. Popal was very popular with teacher trainees! The sign in the background says, "We'll miss you, Dr. Popal!" Unfortunately, my camera could not capture it properly, but I believe the sentiment is genuine!
Group A took us to Ashley's Salad Bar!!
Another great choice!! Group A had overheard that our instructors loved fruits and vegetables and decided to take us to an all-you-can-eat salad bar! Although we were not successful in getting Dr. Popal to sing us a song, it was a very warm and friendly experience shared by all!

Traditional Korean Dinner with Group B!!
Group B took us to an amazing Korean traditional dinner... It was really delicious and we all ate until we were completely stuffed! I believe there were over 20+ different Korean side dishes! EunSook was happy on this night!

Greetings from Cheonan, South Korea!!
UC Berkeley Extension was very warmly received recently by the Chungnam School District in South Korea! We are here for 5 weeks training Korean Secondary Teachers in an intensive international TESOL program. The weather is COLD, being that it's January! ;) But the staff and teacher trainees could not be more hospitable and supportive!! We hope this blog will be a site where many teachers from different countries can come to exchange ideas, resources, and good thoughts!!!
Pictured here are 2 of our esteemed instructors - Dr. Sedique Popal and EunSook McNiel-Cho at the opening reception!
